What this converter does
VTT files from YouTube, Zoom or a web player often carry cue settings (align:start position:10%), voice tags (<v Speaker>), NOTE and STYLE blocks that SRT tools choke on. This converter drops them, numbers the cues, and writes SRT's comma timestamps, including short MM:SS.mmm times.
Need captions from scratch?
If you have the video but no subtitle file, SubForge auto captions transcribes it in your browser with word-level timing and exports SRT, VTT or ASS with no watermark. Other formats: SRT to VTT, ASS to SRT.
